We cover 4 states and are conveniently located midway between St. Louis, Missouri in the northwest and Nashville, Tennessee in the southeast.
Visitors to Paducah come for the history, arts and events, but stay for the deep-rooted culture and southern charm. Located on an influential shore in western Kentucky, Paducah is home to 25,000 residents and its McCracken County has a total of 65,000 residents who enjoy an affordable cost of living, a fraction of the national average. Paducah is conveniently located between St. Louis and Nashville. Paducah’s artistic and historical culture is woven into its community. WPSD Local 6, NBC’s 84th Market Affiliate, needs a Newsroom Manager to manage our daily assignment process. You must be a creative thinker, problem solver, tireless champion of quality, extraordinarily curious, empathetic, intelligent, and most importantly, embrace a long tradition of journalism as a watchdog and community service. This is a 1st Amendment, a newsroom demanding transparency. We don’t chase blue lights.
You need to understand broadcast TV and digital content including web, apps, OTT and social media. You have a passion for meaningful storytelling, breaking news coverage, comprehensive digital coverage and social media. You are collegial with a strong work ethic. Your colleagues will testify that you are a perfect match for this position.
