IMD predicts rainfall in Hyderabad for the next three days


Hyderabad: India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast light to moderate rainfall in Hyderabad on 21st, 22nd and 23rd May.

On Saturday, surface winds are likely to be from the northeast/north with wind speeds of around 08 to 12 km/h, the weather service predicted.

The weather service also predicted that there would be a decrease in heatwave conditions across the country from Saturday.

An IMD bulletin mentioned: “Heatwave conditions in isolated pockets are very likely over Madhya Pradesh on Saturday. (There would be) a reduction in heat wave conditions over (the whole of) the Indian region from May 21”.

According to Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) forecasts, the maximum and minimum temperatures in Hyderabad from May 21-23 will be in the range of 36-37 and 25-28 degrees Celsius respectively.

Throughout Telangana, the maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 38-42 and 25-28 degrees Celsius respectively.

Rain brings respite from scorching heat in Delhi

Meanwhile, rainfall in Delhi on Friday brought much-needed relief from the scorching heat as drizzle and breeze brought temperatures down.

More precipitation accompanied by gusty winds are expected from May 21 to 24.

On Thursday, the maximum temperature reached three degrees above normal in the nation’s capital. It recorded a temperature of 43.6 degrees on May 20.
