NTC launches luxury bus services on 17 interprovincial routes


The National Transport Commission (NTC) has launched 25 inter-provincial luxury bus services on 17 new routes, further expanding the luxury bus service from Makumbura to Galle and Matara.

As a result, the National Transport Commission (CNT) issued 25 permanent permits for inter-provincial buses.

The National Transport Commission (NTC) said that the launch of this long-distance bus service from the Makumbura multiple transport hub will help avoid severe traffic jams in the city of Colombo. Passengers taking advantage of these intercity services will also be able to park their vehicle. Thanks to the Park and Ride system.

The launch of the new bus service and the issuance of licenses took place on January 01 at the Makumbura Multimodal Transport Center under the high patronage of the Minister of Transport, Pavithra Vanniarachchi.
