The meteorological service in its latest forecast informed that despite the pleasant weather, the cold wave conditions in some parts of the country will ease in the coming days, following a wave of rain.
A mild cold spell is currently sweeping the districts of Dinajpur, Nilphamari, Kurigram, Rajshahi, Pubna, Moulvibazar and the upazila of Sitakunda.
“It may rain in a few days, after which temperatures will rise. And with rising temperatures, the cold snap conditions will ease,” said Hafizur Rahman of Bangladesh Meteorology Department.
In its forecast for the next 24 hours, the weather service said: “Moderate to heavy fog may occur over northwestern portions and river basins of the country and light to moderate fog may occur elsewhere over the country from midnight to morning.
The weather can remain dry in the country.
Night and daytime temperatures may increase slightly over the country, according to the bulletin.
Looking ahead for the next 72 hours, the probability of rainfall activity has been predicted.
On Tuesday, the lowest temperature in the country was recorded at 8.5 degrees Celsius in Sitakunda and the highest at 28.5 degrees in Teknaf.
