Pakistan’s Meteorological Department has issued another nationwide heat wave alert. According to reports from the department, most parts of the country will experience extreme heat next week.
The Meteorological Department has predicted a strong heat wave in different parts of the country from June 5 to 9. An alert has also been issued in this regard stating that Eastern Balochistan including southern Punjab and central and northern parts of Sindh will be in the grip of extreme heat for the next 4-5 days.
According to reports, the temperature in Sindh is expected to be above 45 degrees during this wave. The meteorological service clarified that there is no possibility of a heat wave in Karachi but that the temperature is likely to rise by 2 to 3 degrees.
On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has predicted that the entry of monsoon in Karachi will probably be earlier than usual. The intensity of the heat in the city of Quaid is expected to decrease slightly from today.
According to the details, high winds are likely to enter Karachi in mid-June. This year’s monsoon is expected to bring more rain than usual. All monsoon support mechanisms are already in place and the weather will continue to be hot and humid until mid-June.
