Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A day after oppressive humidity, rain hit the city intermittently Sunday morning and evening, bringing relief to residents and making the weather pleasant. The city recorded 10mm of precipitation, bringing the season’s total to 242.6mm (9.55 inches).
The Regional Meteorological Department said the weather conditions would remain the same for the next two days and there was a chance of a good spell of rain from Monday evening.
Citizens woke up to light rain Sunday morning, but skies cleared by noon. However, the weather turned around again in the evening as dark clouds enveloped the sky and rain continued to hit various parts of the city intermittently well into the night. The weather became pleasant in the evening after the rain which was accompanied by a cool breeze.

Sunday’s maximum temperature was recorded at 30.2 degrees Celsius, 2 degrees Celsius below normal, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 21.8 degrees Celsius, 1 degree Celsius below normal.
The change in weather also gave locals a reason to celebrate the weekend as large numbers of people rushed to the waterfalls and other nearby locations on Sunday.
